Remarks:
1. Basis of preparation and accounting policies
The consolidated financial statements incorporate the financial
statements of the Company and its subsidiaries for the nine months
ending 31st December, 2002.
All significant inter-company transactions and balances within the
Group are eliminated on consolidation.
The accounting policies and methods of computation used in the
preparation of the consolidated financial statements are
consistent with those used in the annual audited consolidated
financial statements for the year ended 31st March, 2002.
The comparatives figures of profit from operations and finance costs
for the nine months ended 31st December, 2001 have been changed and
reclassified to conform with current year presentation.
2. Earnings per share
The calculation of the basic earnings per share is based on the
profit for the period of HK$40,706,000 (2001: HK$22,285,000) and
on the weighted average number of 302,100,000 shares (2001:
301,166,667 shares) in issue during the period.
