Remark:
1. Basis of preparation
The principal accounting policies adopted in preparing
the unaudited consolidated results conform with
accounting principles generally accepted in Hong Kong
and accounting standards issued by the Hong Kong
Society of Accountants.
2. Loss per share
The calculation of the basic loss per share for the
six months ended 30 June 2003 is based on the unaudited
consolidated loss attributable to shareholders of
HK$32,674,000 (2002: HK$124,507,000) and the weighted
average number of 3,335,208,470 (2002: 3,290,572,731)
ordinary shares outstanding.
The exercise of share options granted by the Company would
have an anti-dilutive effect on the loss per share for the
six months period ended 30 June 2003 and 2002.
