Remarks:
1. Basis of preparation
The Company was incorporated as a joint stock company with
limited liability in the People's Republic of China (the "PRC")
on 30 December 2001 and its H shares were listed on the
GEM (the "Listing") on 15 April 2004. On 16 August 2004, the
Company became a Sino Foreign Invested Joint Stock Limited.
The unaudited results of the Group have been prepared in
accordance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards
(which also include Statements of Standard Accounting Practice
and Interpretations) issued by the Hong Kong
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, accounting
principles generally accepted in Hong Kong and the Rules
Governing the Listing of Securities on GEM.
2. Earning per share
The calculation of the basic earnings per share is based on
the profit attributable to shareholders of approximately
RMB 16,704,000 for the three months 31 March, 2005
( 2004: RMB 11,772,000) and on the weighted average
number of approximately 540,000,000 (2004: 405,000,000)
ordinary shares in issue during the period.
Diluted earnings per share is not presented for the three months
ended 31 March 2005 and 2004 as there were potential
dilutive securities in existence during the relevant periods.
