1. PRIOR YEAR COMPARATIVE FIGURES
Certain of the comparative figures in the condensed consolidated profit
and loss accounts have been reclassified to conform with current year's
presentation, and/or adjusted as a result of Rights Issue.
2. Earnings per share
The calculation of basic earnings per share is based on the net profit
attributable to shareholders for the year of HK$41,194,000 (2000:
HK$20,231,000) and the weighted average of 775,353,000 (2000: 332,933,000)
shares in issue during the year.
The calculation of diluted earnings per share for the year is based on the
net profit attributable shareholders for the year of HK$41,194,000 and the
weighted of 783,125,000 ordinary shares in issue during the year. There
were no dilutive potential ordinary shares in issue during the year ended
31 May 2000, and accordingly, the diluted earnings per share was not
shown.
