Remarks:
1. The Company was listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited
on 8 April 2002. The Company did not conduct any businesses from the date
of incorporation (i.e. 16 January 2002) to 7 April 2002.
2. Basis of preparation of the financial statements
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with International
Accounting Financial Reporting Standards. The financial statements have
been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the fair
valuation of investments securities.
3. The basic earnings per ordinary share is calculated by dividing
net income of HK$261,702,520 (2002: HK$4,318,784) by the weighted average
number of ordinary shares outstanding during the year, being 30,700,000
(2002: 23,517,143).
4. Turnover
Turnover includes interest income from bank deposits, interest and
dividend on investments and other income.
