At the request of Sinopec Beijing Yanhua Petrochemical Company Limited
(the "Company"), trading in its H shares will be suspended with effect
from 9:30 a.m. today (4/3/2005) pending the release of an announcement of 
the Company containing certain price-sensitive information.
