HENDERSON CHINA<00246> - Suspension of Trading

At the request of Henderson China Holdings Limited (the "Company"),
trading in its shares will be suspended with effect from 9:30 a.m. today
(22/7/2005) pending release of an announcement relating to the results of 
the Court Meeting and Special Gereneral Meeting relating to the proposed 
privatisation of the Company.
