CR PEOPLESPHONE<00331> - Suspension of Trading

At the request of China Resources Peoples Telephone Company Limited (the
"Company"), trading in its shares has been suspended with effect from
9:30 a.m. today (13/1/2006) until withdrawal of the listing of the Company 
following completion of the compulsory acquisition of the remaining issued 
shares of the Company by Fit Best Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of 
China Mobile (Hong Kong) Limited.
