EGANA JEWELLERY<00926> - Suspension of Trading

At the request of Egana Jewellery & Pearls Limited (the "Company"),
trading in its shares will be suspended with effect from 9:30a.m. today
(12/10/2006) pending the withdrawal of the listing of the shares of the 
Company on the Stock Exchange on Tuesday, 24 October 2006, which is 
subject to the Scheme of Arrangement becoming effective. The Scheme of 
Arrangement is expected to become effective on Monday, 23 October, 2006.
